When we created Novo, our ambition and mission was always to support innovative early years businesses. However, as our model evolved to include a range of new services, alongside the growth in both the core team and our partner network, we felt the time was right to ‘spruce’ things up and refocus the brand positioning, whilst better segmenting the service offering.
Alongside this new(ish!) brand, we have created the new website and even given the offices a vibrant refit (after testing, we firmly believe all companies will benefit from office swings!).
In a nutshell, the new Novo Group consists of three core divisions: Consulting, Ventures and Resourcing. This new structure for Novo is designed to support the primary challenges and gaps we most commonly see in early stage and growth enterprise, which effectively boil down to expertise, capital and people.
Novo Resourcing has been a key development area for our business where, at its heart, we support growth businesses through a bottom-up approach via building young and dynamic workforces. Typically, when VCs talk about supporting companies with new talent, they are looking at NEDs or C-level positions which, although unquestionably vital, is expensive for businesses with limited resources and only one piece of the jigsaw.
The lifeblood of any business is its team. For most businesses however, the largest component of a team is not management, it is those who are actually putting the ideas and strategies into action! At Novo Resourcing, we look at the ways in which we can get motivated and bright young people into companies cost effectively, whilst also providing the requisite support and training which can help them thrive.
The primary routes we use for achieving this are through the Government’s Kickstart Scheme and via accredited apprenticeship programmes. Each of these paths offer the potential for savvy growth businesses to build a driven and loyal young workforce, without draining vital financial resources.
Please have a browse of the new site for further information on Novo Group or, better yet, please get in touch or come visit our offices for a coffee – it is after all fantastic to be able to see everyone in person once again!
