Finance & Admin apprentice

Apprentices carry out a range of practical accounting tasks, working towards the collation, checking and analysis of financial information, which is then utilized by accountants. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Administering payrolls
  • liaising with managerial staff, colleagues and clients
  • Arranging payments for invoices
  • Undertaking financial administration
  • Monitoring financial transactions
  • Bookkeeping
  • Preparing accounts, reports, budgets, commentaries and financial statements
  • Process all payment information to ensure timely payments to employees
  • Run weekly & monthly payrolls
  • Preparation of relevant reports
  • Maintain electronic payslip system
  • Maintaining payroll records for benefits & pension purposes and administering changes where necessary
  • Dealing with general pay and tax queries
  • Posting customer invoices, supplier invoices, receipts and payments via excel
  • Delivering consultation services to clients
  • General administrative duties

Qualifications / Licences / Education

  • 3 A Levels or equivalent.
